Advantage Home, Inc. is a non-profit organization 501(c)(3) which started in 1998. We are a nonprofit organization that provides a wide variety of services for those who are developmentally disabled and/or homeless. As part of our service, we strive to serve those whose special needs require effective training and attention, in order to improve self-reliance and self-confidence to be fully functional in the community. Our workers are frequently educated and trained to acquire the skills to function independently. Fortunately, our seasoned workers have been successful to implement services from our organization with enormous success.
Our program’s outcome has been measurably successful and rewarding to the clients assessed and approved for the program. Many of our workers are naturally bonded and over time develop a strong rapport with our clients.
Our workers provide support services and living arrangements for our clients. Our clients gain basic skills in personal finance such as understanding banking and/or shopping, as well as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and various use of public transportation to get around town. The acquisition of these skills has empowered our clients to gain self-esteem and much insight into the management of their personal affairs despite their developmental disabilities.
Community resources are made accessible to our clients. Advantage Home, Inc. provides notable community resources available such as: city-ride bus pass programs, taxi-cab coupons, supported living services, affordable housing, and independent living. These public resources surely make life a lot easier for clients.
