Parents will learn how to parent with confidence in raising lovable, capable, responsible and worthwhile children from birth to adolescence.

Program Purpose

Our program’s purpose is to comprehensively train and support developmentally disabled parents and provide prevention and advocacy for maintaining healthy families. Our core curriculum provides practical 1:1 skill development for caring for a baby or an older child and also provides significant support to parents to improve their independent living skills.

  • We provide parent training to expectant mothers and fathers, and parents of infants, toddlers, pre-adolescents who are referred by the Regional Center.

  • Family reunification, court, monitored child visitation support

  • Prenatal Care Support/Lamaze Training
  • Child Care and Child School Referrals
  • Family Individual Therapy Referrals and Drug Treatment Referrals
  • Daily Activities Help, Bonding and Age-appropriate Activities for Children
  • Support in responding to the emotional needs of parent and child, Money Management Support, shopping, time and household management, etc.
  • Referrals For SSI, WIC, and others

Entrance Criteria

  • Referred by Regional Center, Individuals must meet Regional Center Criteria.
  • Individuals can be either pregnant or already have children willing and motivated to attend a parenting program.
